OK, the blog is rather quiet today, which causes me to suspect that some of you had a little too much fun on New Year's Eve.

Let's have some fun and share our hangover cures. The life you save may not be your own!

Glass of water before bed , if I wake up through the night same first in the morning same lots of coffee apple juice ...paracetamol and still have a terrible headache at 16.30 but if you get sick Milk is the best thing to take as it lines your stomach

But all I had was a half bottle of wine ... I just cant handle my booze these days ...was not always the case ..

Hang overs are caused by dehydration and low electroliticals.

Drink plenty of water and mix in some gatorade. I prefer spicy V-8 cause it has much more electroliticals than gatorade.

Making sure your well hydrated before you go on a binge helps alot.

I use e-lyte for bike riding, comes in handy for the occasional over-indulgence! No sugar, but tastes kind of strange.

To get the quickest relief of hang over symptoms, put yourself on pure oxygen. Its only temporary, but works faster than anything.

    Happy New Year all!

Like Mark said - drink plenty of water. I also think exercise helps. You may feel like crap at first but by the time you're done - much better.

That would explain the influx and proliferation of Oxygen Bars in Vegas.............

PS I didn't share my own hangover cure....

Well, being in my 50's I have learned that the best defense is a good offense--I just don't drink!!!! Even in Vegas. Really! I would rather use the calories for dessert--or a fresh Krispy Kream Donut from Excaliber.

Actually having children when I was 21 cured me. (It was legal to drink at 18 back then.) Somebody had to get up when the kids woke up in the middle of the night. And sometimes we still get the middle of the night calls, from the youngest!!!! He hasn't learned yet..............

Now this looks like Mark has studied this subject extensively. Maybe even majored in it in college... I can just see the nutrutitionists saying "and please make sure you're well-hydrated before you head out on your next binge...". Lol, good advice though!

Yea , Dewey back to form... Someone needs to get Jeff and PI out of winter hibernation and it will be

By the way one of my favourite hangover cures is a walk along the beach with a strong breeze but no rain ...blows the cobwebs away

Errrgg--- just don't drink! life is so much better without the hangovers.

A'course, the last few times I drank, put me into ETOH poisoning. YAY that was fun.
So I'd rather drink gasoline than booze. At least w/gasoline, I will stop after the first shot.

BUT- the tomato juice n lotsa water, n a high-carb meal beforehand, helps. So does burnt toast.

Kind of coming to that conclusion myself aqua , For some reason over the past 6 years ,1 drink and I am hammered 2 drinks and I am hung over the next day ... kind of put shame on the hard drinking nation I am from . I guess its my system saying it dont like booze ....
