Conspiracy , Hoax and Doomsday

Conspiracy

I would describe myself as quite broad minded , Mind open to many things issues, lifestyle and teaching , I don’t even draw the line at the belief there could be life forms on planets Zillions of miles away .Before ya all put a tin foil hat on me and advise the health authorities that there is a complete nut running around the bunker, I don’t believe in many of the conspiracy theories that go around , I guess one of the most famous is Roswell , If that had happened by now it would be proven .
I was wondering do any of you have favourite conspiracy theories ? that give you a good laugh or maybe believe (if you are brave enough to admit…of course you can say you have a friend or neighbour that believes such and such)


Hoax

The internet is full of hoaxes , even yesterday after the earthquake in Alaska I saw a lot of people buying into U-tube videos showing the lights before the quake … same video had circulated lots of times previous claiming to be New York and Rio and God knows where else .LMAO.

My all-time favourite Hoax was done by the BBC long before I was born but you have to consider the period of time it was ...




Any favourite hoaxes be it on the internet , tv or real life are welcome here too


Doomsday Prophecy’s


I have survived the “Jupiter” effect ,1999, Y2K and the Mayan prophesy and others too numerous to count they are a great source of entertainment to those who disbelieve and you wonder of the sanity (back to the tin foil hats) well I do of those who buy into these . Anyway I was wondering can any of you remember some of these theories and did any give you a chuckle ?

    The Roswell Conspiracy is my fave.

    I mean come on,A conspiracy contrived to hide a conspiracy.....
    Thats gotta be the best!
    As far as the Mayan thing.... I actually think its true meaning is being fulfilled as I type.
    Disaster spawning a new beginning is what we are seeing.

    What gets me is how some people can believe some absolutely ridiculous stuff. Mostly the end of the world stuff. Some so much they will commit suicide to meet a space ship. (Heavens Gate)

    that was the the one where there souls were to be entering a spaceship off to utopia that was scary that people beleive it and took their lives because they bought into it ... they could have done with the tin foil hats Thanks for the list Dan

    Actually, all the rain missed me. Seems my weather station is also a weather cone of isolation too. Just been grey and light mist off and on last few days. Not enough to measure on either rain gauge. Sun tomorrow, then back to clouds, but temps going up to around 70 (21).

    Its funny as I sit back and think about "Conspiracy" How the phrase has been used and misused. There are Conspiracys that vaguely effect our daily lives. A single one doesnt cause much change,its the total of them that over time have an effect.
    We see them every day in little news snippets,but little mind is paid to them. They are mostly Political/economic.
    Many are claimed Conspiracys used to distract from actual thought out plans to manipulate an outcome.
    Hillary and her vast R wing Conspiracy statement, the fed and monetizing our debt,a Controversial Senator from Alaska(name escapes me) who was brought up on charges only to be vindicated after his death. All for political retribution.
    These are the Conspiracies of today.
    I could go further but I am sure the tin hat is already being superimposed on my avy... LOL

    Burger King claimed that the burgers that they sold were fresh Char broiled. (char broiled and fresh) were the key controversy.
    Another chain insisted that the burgers were pre (fake)seared and then frozen,sent off to restaurants to be "reheated" over nothing similar to the term Char broiled. If I remember there was a lawsuit. It claimed that the term Char broiled was an advertising Conspiracy designed to make the consumer think that the burgers were fresh cooked over something like a grill type apparatus.

    My Grannie God rest her soul believed that one .... But she also believed in fairies ....I remember as a kid my dad and her having a discussion that turned into a row about it which I at the time thought was really hilarious. Thank you for mentioning that one, good to remember her !!!
