I am kinda under the hammer for the 5 days with storms coming close to me . I nearly cried when I saw the morning models I swear . I am putting together a blog so I can access the info I need if I lose either the lecky or net ,So I can access them via my phone without having to hunt around the net . I know its kinda selfish but at the moment I dont care . By all means post anything through out the blog .

They finally hitting the panc button ...

    Weather Warning

    Issued at 26 January 2013 - 18:57
    Weather Advisory

There is a high probability that southwest to west winds will increase to mean speeds and gusts that have the potential to cause damage, in many parts of the country, during Monday 28th January.
Exceptionally high waves affecting Atlantic coasts, also on Monday, will bring the threat of coastal flooding at times of high tide.
    Valid from 09:00 to 24:00 Monday 28/1/2013

If this is the first warning issued to residents who could have made precautions against potential damages that would be sad. I don't understand your building codes(I know they better than ours) or if there are preparations that people could make to prepare for this type of storm, but if there were then this late warning would be a serious lack of judgement by those agencies since this storm was predicted to be a monster. You certainly have seen it coming for a few days. Hope all is well there for you!

Morning Lib, glad to see that you are up and running this morning, or early afternoon. I have a question, are you in the same time zone as London?
  24. libgoon's Avatar
By the way thank guys all for calling by .

Cone in relation to your question . theres no where to hide you are safer in your home in these events than anywhere else . Houses along the coast tent to be low in height new houses are made of blocks or bricks and Slate roofs are insurance regulations if your house has less than 70% slate the insurance companies will not touch you . There tends to be few trees near the coast as they dont last .

    Atta girl Lib.

MNS was on top of this cloud. Was classified by MNS as a COI on 1/21/2013, once again demonstrating the cutting edge of MNS. The UK mets have nothing on MNS.

    Self agrandizing?

    YOU BETCHA!!!!

Well at least its not a hurricane , the winds may gust 75 mph+ but not as sustained and also the rain will be much lighter .. but it is a cocktail at the moment ....tides surge, rapid thaw, rain and wind

Thanks for the answer, Lib & I am happy to see you are still up and running. That Eumetsat run is really cool, I see another blob coming right behind the donut. No rest for the weary. Hang in there, it clear up one of these days/weeks/months, or maybe when
