    FIRST!!

I do not think it will be as bad as the hype. After all how much damage can a little fish do?

I will delay my ban for a moment to say something.

The mere fact that you posted this blog lowers my interest level and increases my boredom level with the Cloud Of Slight Interest. I am now considering lowering it to a Cloud Of Uninterest.

You do know that Nemo spelled backwards is OMEN

Port St Joe is the only locale which will suffer DOOM.

That is okay, because they are used to it now.

    All clear in Matagorda Bay.

Good Morning Everyone. I got back in town just in time for one of Libs good blogs. I enjoyed the quiet of the camp, but I did miss the internet and cable TV, also a TV bigger then 19".

I guess the powers to be at an unmentionable place have named it NEMO. What Bozo,s.

    Good morning Kaiden.

MNS does not recognize the unmentionalbe places authority to name anything.

    Not even their own children.

That is the few old enough to have any.

Yes FMG, it was nice, I was going to come back Tuesday, but I did not want to make that long drive, 45 min, so I waited a day.

The rain has ended here and the Sun is out and it is clear. We had 1.16" of rain. My back yard has a small lake at the far end.

Absolutely not. I find it only slightly interesting and the interest level is dropping at this time.

Of course that is subject to change, but at this time, the cloud has no name.

This storm has high bust and high boon potential written all over it.

ECMWF has stuck to it's guns for over 8 days for a huge coastal blizzard region wide.

The GFS and NAM were on board yesterday morning and both had identical tracks.

They have since deviated greatly from each other and from themselves run to run.

Phasing of the two system is in high question. If it phased early as the ECMWF says then everyone from MD-ME gets whacked. If it phases east of Cape Cod as the NAM now has it that means MD,DE,NJ,NYC,Western CT are all complete busts and the heavy system is confined to MA, Eastern CT, RI, NH, ME. If the GFS is now correct now racing eastward south of Cape Cod and weaker...nobody outside of eastern MA, SE NH and Eastern ME get over a foot.

This system since Tuesday morning had "Wont know until Friday" written all over it.

I myself here in central NJ has the potential to see anywhere from a few slushy inches up to two feet. The storm has the potential...but it has yet to come together, and, the models, aside from the ECMWF, have yet to pick a solution and stick with it.

I honestly have no idea which way to lean with this storm except to say some folks with forecasts of 24" of snow might end up with next to nothing or rain...and some folks with forecasts of rain may end up with 24" of snow.

There is so much uncertainty with this system and I highly doubt it is worked out until Friday itself. Always felt that way with this one.

I will say I have never, ever, seen such a widespread official forecasting of 18"+ encompassing most of NY State and all of New England as they have it.

    Just never seen it. Ever.

Never seen an intense coastal low of any kind throw that much snow that far north and west away from the coast. Never seen it.

So to me, you add alllllllllllll this up, and either the ECMWF is correct and always has been? Or this could end up one of the largest forecasting busts in history.

    *shrug*

This is the first time since Sept. when Issac dumped on us that we have had water standing in the yard. I have been jumping the ditch back there with the mower and tractor since then. Normally in the winter the ditch always has some water or is too soft to do that, and I have to use the bridge.

Keep a positive attitude FMG. My forecast is a 21.23% chance of rain for you.

Hysteria level at this time seems to be confined to professional DOOMsayers and snot nosed kids in basements hoping for a day off school. The general public appears to be not alarmed to any great degree.

Perhaps the DOOMsayers have cried the wolf of DOOM one time to many. The public may no longer be paying attention. They haven't been washed out to sea, crushed by epic snows, frozen by epic tempatures, baked by unprecedented heat or starved to death by massive crop failures.

Evidently the public has heard it all before and they also have a supply and Cheetohs, Vienna Sausages with BBQ sauce and have their milk jugs filled.

The cloud will remain only slightly interesting at this time and will not be named.
