Good morning fellow weather obsessors. Memorial weekend in the UP looks to be a good one. Highs should be a little cool to start it off on Friday (high 50's for daytime highs) but the weekend should round into shape with highs in the mid 60's and lows hovering around 50. Monday currently has a chance of some Doom boomers. Yoop will be manning the greenhouse all weekend, then travel to Munising for camping. I'm interested to see what inland lake temps are like. Major shipment of trees shrubs and perrenials is coming tomorrow with a 85% chance of back pain by 9pm. Everyone have a SS/BS weekend!

This still looks darn well dangerous.

According to people who know things about the Sun, we have reached the peak for this sunspot cycle...which means this particular cycle is pretty lame a$$. There is still hope for some good aurora activity as the cycle winds down though.

STAY SAFE! BE SAFE!

NWS gives us a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. Low to mid 50's on Friday morning, getting late for that sort of thing.

Ah, Cone. Beware anytime cold meets hot. My Dad's entire Mother's Day chrysanthemum crop (acres and acres) was wiped by a hail storm in late April, Early May in the mid-1970's--around 1975ish.
