Bertha is looking more like a frontal system than a tropical storm and will soon be declared extra-tropical. It looks like the left overs may have Ireland in its sights.

GFS - The remnants head toward Ireland....

Euro - The remnants head toward England/Ireland.....

So, hang on tight everyone, The Season™ is heating up!

Stay on the moisture belt and 93l will breed

Weaker system stays more west, since it won't feel the pull of the trof to the north. GFS is over doing the trof, happens Everytime. It really needs an upgrade.

2004. You have been Dewey warned.

But if no ElNINO .... 2004 is no analogue

Good morning! Thanks for the blog. Don't know where this is headed....might push kiteboarding out a week or two. Unless you more expert peeps have other thoughts?

The writing is on the wall, folks. Pre B is headed for west, then wnw, then nw, then n, then nne, then ne.

    It is all quite clear.

Good morning and afternoon, everyone. This is still July, right? As long as the season isn't a 2005 or a 2008, I will relax and enjoy tracking the storms.

Breakfast's on the sideboard: creamed chipped beef or sausage gravy over biscuits, Egg, Cheese and chorizo Quesadillas, creamy oatmeal with blueberries, omelets with cheese and mushrooms, honey ham and bacon, cheesy grits and shrimp, cheese Danishes, yogurt, fresh fruit and orange, apple or pineapple juice. Peppermint White Hot Chocolate, regular and decaf coffee with flavored creamers to the side. Enjoy!

At this point there is no indication that this storm is going anywhere near there. No need to change your plans.

06z GFS still has it scraping the islands and then heading out to sea, probably more of threat to ruin Lib's weather than anyone else's after the islands....

  16. InTheCone's Avatar
HWRF gets it down to 999 and then weakens it by the end of the run...

GFDL 994 as it heads to the north of the islands....

Kelvin. Unfortunately, it's the high. I never put the shovels away...one can never be too prepared. Maybe I should gas up the snowblower.

Long time, no see Mr. Dew. Busy times for both of us.

Supposed to be a max 62 today ... last week was a toasty 75 .... seems colder than 62 at the moment due to the beautiful weather last week

The GFS is obviously suffering from convective suck issues, and clearly needs to be upgraded.

Be careful Lib. His depth of knowledge is exactly 6 inches. It can sweep an adult off of their feet.
