Everyone knows that April is the heart of severe weather season and that being out in such weather can be severely foolish.

The SPC maps promise to be colorful this month….

National radar and Satellite as well…..

Just remember one thing before you head out the door...

MSGAL, glad to here y'all ok. Looks like the wurst passed North of you towards Yazoo City.

A line of light rain is forming West of me, but our heavy stuff is a couple of hours away.

I will be on the phone for awhile, Dee does not like driving in the weather, and asked if I would take her to church. She is the Lay Minister and has to be there today. But I told her as soon as church is finished we will head home, no stopping for Sunday Dinner.

So glad all is good with you and yours, MSG! Sorry all, being gone for three weeks means I have a ton of work to do at home! I may need a vacation from it all when I finally catch up! *G*

Yes, and it is headed to yours truly. We are under a tornado watch for several hours and by the looks of the part that will get to me, there may be something to it! the good thing is that it is rather hilly here and tornadoes don't stay on the ground very long in hill country. At least, that is what I keep telling myself. I could drive to my brothers house and hunker down in the basement, but I would be heading right into the teeth of it.
So, if you don't hear from me tomorrow...

A little woods snake sneaked inside and now I have to seal up the hole. I tried to get him out without hurting him but your know how snakes are, they like to run and play hide and seek. I don't mind him being around, just not in my bedroom.

We got home 20 minutes ago, we watched the radar and managed to sneak in a Sunday dinner with Dee's two brothers. We were going to ride it out in town, but I rather be at home in stormy weather.

It should be here in the next half hour, and as usual the wurst seems to be passing just North of us.

I'm above Cookeville by the KY/TN state line.
This is the crescent radar of DOOM! (I'd like to see Mark top THAT!)

I like that radar name K3, has a catchy ring to it.

The rain started here about 20 min. ago. Just some thunder with it.

after this front moves through, the temps will drop 15 to 20F. This ain't yer garden variety frontal system, unless t is.

I almost taught there. The administrator and I were in disagreement as to how the class should be used. I insisted on a real machine and he wanted theory. I told him that was like learning calculus and only using your fingers to solve equations.

    Nice guy though. Nice place.
Cookeville is pretty decent, not much good work there, but a nice place to live.

It looks like the line of DOOM made it to KAi and Triple K. Is the ECF due for failure, I think it may be in danger....

Looks like Mark's SDLM is going to be very active in the near future.

The line of DOOM passed, left us with a little over an inch of rain. But the tail end has started moving north and it looks like we are going to get an encore. Just had some 30 to 40 mph gusts of wind, and some serious lightning getting closer.

It came barreling (pause) I say Barreling through Jazz-Fest about 11:30. They delayed opening. It passed about 1:30. They opened the gates (6 hrs late) at 3:00.

Some straight line gusts, and moderate rain rate. Nothing approaching a nader, no hail, no green skies. But a $__t-load of strong frequent lightning. Struck a transformer, that shut down power for a while.

All in all I'm pleased (nay shocked) with my apparent ability to maintain reasonable operation of a keyboard at this point. 3 days down, and 4 to go. (sigh) It's tough duty, but someJuan has to do it.

I'll report back later unless I don't. In which case I'm at least certain, either way it goes, unless it doesn't. Then it doesn't matter anyway, right?

Perhaps I'm being too specific here. Look.... Oh, the time! Sorry folks, I've got to go. There's an infinite number of monkeys banging at the door. They want to talk about some script they've worked out for Hamlet.
