May: Time for a change?

May usually brings a transition from severe season to summer and The Season™ . Severe season can’t end soon enough this year. Hopefully the SPC map will start to calm down.

I would like to see a change to more rain for Florida and get some of it out of the Mid West.

CPC is thinking it's going to be extra warm for the next few months, it's summer so no real change there.

Whatever happens, we’re all on this flight together and let’s just hope she stays in the air for another month!

Good morning and afternoon, everyjuan! Awe, HC beat me to being first. I have to go temperament test a dog at 8 this morning so had to set the alarm, otherwise I would have slept until at least 7.

Breakfast's on the sideboard: Chipotle Chilaquiles, Loaded breakfast potato skins, Avocado Toast with Chile Flakes and Crushed Pistachios, cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, cinnamon monkey bread, sausage balls, strawberry crepes, baked oatmeal, thick slices of honey ham with home fries, corned beef hash with cheese topped with two fried eggs, fresh fruit, Juice, Tea, coffee with flavored creamers to the side. Enjoy!

Juance again, the obvious predictability of the "NEW BLOG" makes it quite unpredictable.

That Cone is a cagey Juan. That's for sure.

    Time for BreakFast!

I'll just have a snack of cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, sausage balls, thick slices of honey ham with home fries, corned beef hash with cheese topped with two fried eggs and some coffee - TYVM Aislinn and good luck with the dog!

    Nice new blog Cone.

Aislinn I would like a plate of cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, and a mug of black coffee, please and thank you.

    Morning Kai!

Looks like the monkey is still at large and having a good time in Apopka. I guess there must be something to do there....

All of us broadcasters across Florida are covering the exploits of the renegade monkey. We haven't had much else to do since the Casey Anthony thing.

I survived the last onslaught of April.
    There was rain.
    There was thunder.
    There was wind.
    There was beer.

The power didn't even flicker, the anticipation was worse than the event, at least where I was.
I live on the eastern downslope of a rather large hill, so I never get the direct winds from storms.
Looking the doppler radar during the "event", there wasn't much in the way of rotation anywhere. It was just typical summer type thunderstorm wind patterns.
April showers bring May flowers. What does May do?
We think of May as spring and June as summer, but June is only 1/4 summer and is 3/4 spring! May is right in the middle of spring, it is nothing BUT spring and I believe should be treated accordingly.

I was going somewhere with that, but, an untimely brain fart has turned that thought into butt gas.
It has dissipated and cannot be reformed.

Some coffee may bring it back, but it will be too late. It's like calling your friends after a party and telling them the punch line you forgot after making them sit through the whole joke.
It's better to just let it go.

The current blog group has been spoiled by instant gratification, and will not tolerate such irresponsible attempts at humor.
I will be sentenced to the harsh literary death of being ignored, or there may be torture.

yes, they should have color TV instead of black and white.
They need to fix those numbers jumping at the bottom of the screen.

    Hi Triple K!

They have pretty colors, but I think the numbers are going to stay. Street cred. with the egghead crowd and all that.

    That's a lot better.
I just drove through that area a couple of weeks ago. It is flat flat flat! Nothing to keep wind from going where it wants to go. I saw lots of dust devils too, indicative of areas conducive to thermal lift, a thunderstorm's appetizer, if you will. With all that moisture coming from the Gulf and that dry cool air coming from the north, I expect we will be in for more color explosions like the Juan above.

Note the wave train and obvious high latitude blocking. Pattern is stuck active if you ask me. Tough to argue a dry May. #AGwx #Plant17

Hi ya' Dan - Nice to see you!

Looks like winter is still hanging on up in Yooper Land - Brrrr....

Now that Aislinn is back home, it's time for the BreakFastCast - Summery.....

Today: Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. South winds up to 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds up to 5 mph.

Good morning and afternoon, everyjuan! Sunny and eighties, beginning to feel a bit summerish. Looking like tomorrow might not be so nice? Did get a good bit of planting done yesterday before I had to be in town in the morning, so caught up on that. Now to finish up the house, I've decided the worst part of leaving is coming home and having to clean.

Breakfast's on the sideboard: Eggs Benedict with asparagus and a creamy shrimp sauce, banana fritters, creamed chipped beef or sausage gravy over biscuits, cheesy grits with shrimp, candied chunks of ham and sweet potato casserole, omelets with cheese, mushrooms, peppers and dice ham or bacon, choice of blueberry, chocolate chip or buttermilk pancakes with syrup, grapefruit, melons and other fresh fruit, choice of juices, reg and decaf coffee with milk or creamer and sugar to the side. Enjoy!

    Good Morning!

I think I will have an omelet with cheese, mushrooms and bacon for breakfast, and a go-plate of cheesy grits with shrimp for lunch. TYVM.

The Establishment Pukes are calling for some rain this PM caused by sea breezes. We shall see--it is dead still out there right now.

And yes, good to see Dan! I guess we should also be glad that the Yoop is successfully employed (after his bad spell) and too busy for us..............

Ha! I finally got up early enough to get breakfast!

Could I please haveone of everything, orange juice and a pot of coffee with cream and sugar? TIA!

Beeeee utiful day this morning, cool and sunny, not a cloud in the sky and the sky is that deep blue that you are happy to see after a series of air cleaning storms.

I am going to waste a good part of the morning for a 10 minute doctor visit that takes about 2 hours. My appointment is at 10, I will get there early and then wait to be called back for about 1/2 hour and then when I am called back, they weigh me and check my height and then my blood pressure and then I am sequestered in an examination room for another 45 minutes to an hour. Then the doctor comes in, we chat, she takes my blood pressure again, write things down, tells me to lose weight and avoid salty things and then tells me to go out and get my prescription. I go out and wait for another 10 minutes for the lady to get the prescription and then I go out and am done!

But at least I can get my pills when I need them...except in the Philippines.

    But that's another post entirely!

Oh, I almost forgot, the omelet is cheese diced ham and mushrooms!

    Yummy!

Hi neighbor Dan! How did you fare in the last big storms?
  30. InTheCone's Avatar
    Morning Triple K!

That Dr. visit sounds familiar, except your wait is shorter and I don't have any scripts atm.

Models are starting to latch onto the 1st E-Pac storm of the year.....
