Oct./Nov. – Peace & Quiet or Doom and Gloom?

Down we go and we can’t get to the bottom soon enough! It’s been a long season for many people and it’s going to take a long time for them to recover.

Oct. can be busy in the Caribbean with the storms heading to the north and the early indications are that we will see some activity in that area early to mid month.

All we can do is keep watching and be as ready as we can….

Time to study “The Chart” and hope that we can get Homer to the bottom without any more DOOM days.

Yes, Cone! Can't wait! I'll be at Barksdale AFB, not dog training next week. I'm sooo hoping it stays that way for the following week!

Passes a large platter of country ham with red-eye gravy, biscuits and grits, sausage polenta with nested eggs, egg and sweet potato scramble, a large plate of bacon wrapped donuts and a pot of coffee.

It's getting to the time of year where the cooler weather should be around quite a bit up there in the far north where you live

    Hiya Ais,

I don't mean to crowd the blog with Dawg stuff, buttt.....

Bunker went to the vet yesterday for check-up and shots. Did well, weight now 24.1 lb, and assistants voted him "Cutest Patient" of the month. He is developing quite the fan base around the hood.

The vet had a question I could not answer about the previous shots, so you may get a phone call. Sorry to bother you with details, and thanks again for a great pup.

Does your Vet-dog training group have a website? If so please forward a link. TYVM

How did you request a new password? (I am not very tech savvy.)

Do you know where that was taken? One of the CA fires I assume. Quite the jack-o-lantern.

Or not. Foliage on trees. What is that?

I tried to log into the website through my phone (not sure if mobile has some different functionality vs normal website). I put in my username and tried the password I had, with no luck. I got the incorrect log on screen dialog box which had an option to request a new password. The password was sent to the email account on file for the site and I the followed the links through that temporary email password message to get the rest of the way in. I did have to validate myself with in yet another email link that the website sent to me (I discovered this when I went tried to change the password to something I would remember). Prior to the "validation email" I was logged in, but unable to actually post anything (the comment box was not visible to me) You may or may not have to do this, if you do it will tell you in a dialog box. Be sure to note, the moment you ask for a new password it is your new password until you can change it. This did hang me up for a bit until I figured it out

I would post the screenshots, but I am literally unable to upload anything to an album, through a URL etc. Wish I could have an avatar now..... Still better than looking through the window, so I will take what I can get

Remember when we had the contests to pick avis? If Squid ever gets the ability to change it, we should do that again. Just to help out.

    Poor Lib.

    We hardly knew thee.

Best of luck to you Lib. It looks like it'll pack a good punch. Not much consolation but it's a quick mover so hopefully the strong winds only last a few hours.

Thanks Guys I appreciate it but the Good news is I am to the North west .... so Impact should not be as severe for me as opposed to Cork Kerry https://www.met.ie/forecasts/5day-ireland.asp

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! The last gasp of summer sounds great, Cone! As soon as I finish my coffee I'm out to work on the garden before the humidity and heat get too much to be able to work comfortably in.

Bart, so glad everyjuan likes little Bunker! I talked to your vet yesterday. It appears the vet up here put the date they printed off the paperwork instead of the date they gave the shots. We talked and I gave her the history and we figured out the timeline for Bunker. The website is Brothers and Sisters in Arms Dog Training, Inc. - Home

Breakfast's on the sideboard: Home fries, scrambled or fried eggs, thick smoked ham slices, sausage patties, over-sized cinnamon buns, blueberry, chocolate chip or buttermilk pancakes with butter and syrup, biscuits and sausage gravy, egg, cheese and ham casserole, apple bites oatmeal, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Enjoy!

Loved those maps with the sliders Lib! Looks bad for the south coast that's for sure.

This season has really been something...
