Oct./Nov. – Peace & Quiet or Doom and Gloom?

Down we go and we can’t get to the bottom soon enough! It’s been a long season for many people and it’s going to take a long time for them to recover.

Oct. can be busy in the Caribbean with the storms heading to the north and the early indications are that we will see some activity in that area early to mid month.

All we can do is keep watching and be as ready as we can….

Time to study “The Chart” and hope that we can get Homer to the bottom without any more DOOM days.

Mark and I have the uncanny ability to post while ITC is making a new blog.

    It's a gift.

You know, like a serving dish as a wedding gift. Pretty much useless until you really need Juan and then there is nothing else that will do... well, actually a lot of things will do and probably even better, but, I'd like to think that the "gift" is more valuable than what it is, so maybe if I keep thinking it is maybe it will be Juan day. I mean, it works for the models...

I'm still stranded in the Philippines (against my will) supposedly I have the right to expect the offending airline to step forward and get a new ticket for me. Holding their feet to the fire has proved to be difficult. Their feet stink.

But, I have other options coming into play and soon I hope to return to a place where my kind of crazy doesn't involve rice and instant coffee and constant heat, humidity and mold.

By the way, Manila provides suction.

Suction and other things. All for the cost of a bottle of shampoo.

The Canadians have sent along a warning in the overnight run of their weather prognosticator - Beware the Eyes of Oct.....

So I've been told. Getting married for that purpose isit extremely uneconomical. However, it is a virtual smorgasbord of other things, good and bad that can make things average out. Of course sometimes it is like the buffet that always has a full tray of the stuff you hate while you wait patiently for them to fill your favorite, and the reason you are there.

Ah the metaphorical dialog is wearing me out. I am Juan's again waiting at the airport. Thinking I am waiting to go back home (Philippine) after I file another visa extension. I am sitting in a sea of Asian Mexicans. I have discovered that there is virtually no difference between bean farts and rice farts. But, because the rice here is tainted with some meat product, there is
Usually a worse smell. Large Filipino woman are the worse ( meaning very talented at getting away with it) seeping farts on an aircraft..I was made to sit down by the stewardess, because I was standing with the small air vent shoved up my nose blowing full blast. I want to load up with some Mexican beans, but they have none here.

Juan more reason to go back to the USA.

Good morning peeps! This seems like it's been the season for a large pair of owl eyes out there staring us down.

I see someone successfully set a new record last might in Las Vegas. Gotta read about this madman and give him his 15 minutes of fame. What is wrong with people.?

Oh my, that just sounds as bad as bad can get on an airplane and for how long???? A 1 hour flight in those conditions would be far to long, but a long haul I think I would have brought a jar of Vick's Vapo Rub and stuffed it up my nose.

Anyway, so much for the empty NHC map of DOOM....

I'm actually surprised it doesn't happen more often, it's easy to do and there are a ton of deranged people out there. Terrible, but in this day and age, not surprising.

While I was away my wife purchased Juan of those Alexa things. She likes it and she keeps imploring me to make use of it. My first response to her was that it was a good thing that none of our dogs or cats was named Alexa because the critters and the machine would become very confused. My second response was to politely decline making use of the contraption on the grounds that I was uncomfortable interacting with robots because when the machines become aware we are all DOOM. She just shook her head and told me that I was an idiot. Evidently she hasn't seen the movies.

Good morning all! Been a bit busy with Bunker related business.

It's seriously Tropical around here. Banding style drizzle coming through since yesterday. ...and winds from the EEENnEeeNe. As though we were on the North side of a Low or something.

    Oh! We are... heh.

    Good Morning Ais!

Bunker is doing fine. Gaining weight, and size. Full of energy and curiosity, interspersed with scattered naps and heavy snoring. He's making friends in the neighborhood. He and the cat have come to an 'understanding', and the delicate negotiations are proceeding.

Please tell Jamie, "Hello" and "Thanks".

I don't like the looks of this:

Hiya Cone, Yes he's gonna be Juan big mascot. He already complained about the rain for this mornings' walk. Then (in true WX Bunker style) took a deep breath, said "screw it all", and took me for a long (wet) walk anyway. After drying off, gobbling down two bowls of water and re-filling on High-Grade puppy fuel, he plopped down on the carpet for a power nap. Since then, he has expressed absolutely no interest in reviewing establishment WX models this AM, and is currently 'recycling' Juan of my shoes.

Just the outer bands from our pre-investulation. More DOOM cometh!

Bunker will be puking recycled sneaker bits all over the establishment pukes in no time I can already tell that he's going to do us proud

I hear ya' Oss, I just hope it turns out to be a rain maker. The models don't have a clue yet and may not get Juan until after something gets going.

Take heart, Oss, it is already October 2. Tip-toe around and be quiet so they don't find you, take a lot of naps, and the month will be over before you know it!

    NOLA is getting flushed.

    Street flooding and more...

    Film at 11:00.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled doom and panic.

(I would include a link to the local reporters completely panicking on this matter, but there aren't any.)

EDIT: Links, there aren't any links. There are a virtual plethora of reporters live broadcasting in full panic mode on this.

OH! and the SPRG is overflowing, so at lest 4" here so far. ...and it's still coming down like a @#&^% with three @#$*& pouring on a soaked %$&@#.

Folks! Seems we're in store for a historic and unprecedented full blown non-tropical tropical authentic 'Frog-Strangler' here.

What if we take up a collection and send D a note asking to buy it? I'd chip in (but not a fortune.) Several people I know would like to get on. Some people from my Indonesia trip were enjoying it foe a couple of days but can't get on. They've flown off to meet their so we can't count on them in the future, lol. But I would spend some time trying to market it if we could 1) own it and 2) figure out how to keep bots, spammers, porners, and general jerks off. And we could have t-shirts. Finally.

I love the Bunker reports Bart. Glad the puppy and cat are negotiating. You should do Bunker's journal entry on here nightly

Edit: just read your last note. Amendment to earlier, If you survive you should put out a nightly journal entry for Bunker.

    Tulsa,
If we do get a chance to "buy-in", please keep me in mind. I'd gladly own a piece of this rock. If I recall correctly (IIRC) Dew and Sqwalk were in some kind of discussions at Juan point in time.

I am gonna guess Atmo, maybe Oss and more than likely 3k have that kind of computer experience. I can make a Go Daddy Webpage, but anything more complicated than that and I am in over my head.

I did teach myself how to install and run Point of Sale and Inventory software just recently, but it took a lot of reading and trial and error.

Well, maybe we should designate a time for a chat...it still works... and talk about it. I can do until 4:00 central or after 8:00 or tomorrow about any time if I know ahead

It's a long shot but we could give it a whirl.

I'll go ahead and throw out tomorrow at 6:00 PM ET if anyone wants to.
