Down we go and we can’t get to the bottom soon enough! It’s been a long season for many people and it’s going to take a long time for them to recover.

Oct. can be busy in the Caribbean with the storms heading to the north and the early indications are that we will see some activity in that area early to mid month.

All we can do is keep watching and be as ready as we can….

Time to study “The Chart” and hope that we can get Homer to the bottom without any more DOOM days.

    Good Morning Aislinn & T!

I bike ride and keep a supply of option #2 beverages around to quaff when things get to bizarre. Since that seems to be all the time these days, let's just say I have to brew and go to the brewpub often

On that note, it's time for breakfast!

I'll have Steak and eggs, and coffee - TYVM Aislinn & have a safe trip to the VA!

    Hi MSG!

Yep, I always get MSG speak and enjoy it immensely! I fear that rain is going to be scarce for the entire SE all winter, LA Nina is in full force. Hopefully it'll relent as spring comes on.

Since the season is at an official end I consumed my remaining unused disaster supplies consisting of Juan box of Junior Mints with great ceremony.

    I have some....

....that I have been keeping for several seasons. Since they have Bourbon they can only improve with aging and I consider the fact that the tins are now getting a puffy look to them to be a very good sign. In just 5-10 more years they should be just about perfect - YUM

I just had some dry dog food (Kibbles and bits...hey my last dog LOVED it. It isn't bad with water..and beer. A little Tony Chachere's and you have a slightly edible "trail mix" but dogs don't like the "Chac" so if you want to share with your pooch, leave it out..) that is for emergencies: End of the world stuff. Sure, you can share it with you dog. He needs to know that just as you will not eat him (I am not Malaysian) he should not eat you, when the food is gone. Because that's a BAD DOGGIE! (Unless you're dead) then you are fair game, I suppose, or fair meat, since the game is over.
Interesting thing if you die and are eaten: You will have passed twice.
My relatives ask me what I want done with my body when I die. I replied: "That isn't my concern, and if I did have a preference, how will I know my wishes will be carried out? No, wherever I am when I go, someone will have to do something with my remains or I will stink up the place. That is when the decision should be made. After all, I will not be there to offer an opinion and it wouldn't matter anyway."
So if my dog wants me for supper, he is welcome.
I don't have a dog at present, but I hope he likes people (or she)
But to be honest, I bit my tongue once and I tasted horrible.
Maybe a little better than Cone's Bourbon Sausages...

    Afternoon Triple K!

I have to agree, Juance I'm dead I don't give a rat's behind what happens to me. I told my kids that since I already have the spot next to my wife all's they have to do is open up the box and drop me in, saves all the muss and fuss. I told them that they could stick a piece of tape on the marker with the date if they wanted to, but that was certainly optional.

Ah, to be in N.Dakota in winter - so painfully delightful that Juan probably wouldn't want to leave, or couldn't without freezing to death......

I've always told my kin folks to take me into the woods and bury me like Fido. No marker necessary. A marker just makes it more likely that some busybody establishment puke would dig me up and do who know what to my remains. It's best that the location not be widely known.

That is hilarious, totally irreverent and true. I’ve always thought that but never could have said it.

We had a FROPA pass through a few hours ago. Before it got to us the FROPA blob split in two. Juan half went north of us and the other went south of us. We didn't get a drop. It was a text book example of The Great Blobular Divide.

Oh well. Maybe we'll get some rain next year.
