Stick a fork in it, The Season of DOOM is over! Now it’s time to sit back by the fire and enjoy the Frosty days ahead, or not.
Long term predictions from the CPC are showing the south to be warm and dry through the winter…..

As we well know, it only takes one deep cold intrusion to freeze everything solid, especially in S. Fl. We’ll have to keep an eye on the radar and hope no blue blobs make it too far south.

Abominable weather ahead? I guess we'll just have to Bumble along to find out!

Not to fear, Cone! It is just a busy time of year.

I was lurking yesterday but am a bit swamped. Still chasing pennies in 9 commercial banking accounts--haven't even cracked open the personal account and files yet.

And I haven't even cracked my books for my 2 online education courses (to keep my license active.)

And I have house guests until mid-March.

Yesterday was garbage day and the very windy the 'hood. We had massive tippage when the carts were emptied. That is my report---besides that it is still cold, but hey, it's winter. And it will be summer by Sunday.

Hey Cone! I'd love to see more people as well.

Passes large platter of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, biscuits and sausage gravy, cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, Potato pancakes, thick slices of honey ham and a pot of coffee.

Well once we get past the maintenance item, things should pick up. Oh, wait!

"*** Hey Ossqss, We're doing site maintenance 1/20/18 and 1/21/18 - The Bunker may be unavailable from time to time this weekend ***"

    Maybe he meant 2019?

No matter, we will not be so lonely forever!

    Morning LF & Oss!

I hear ya' LF and I knew that was the case, which just illustrates why we need more peeps. We shouldn't feel obligated to have to post to keep the blog moving along, there needs to be enough members around that it happens naturally. It gets worse with time as we gradualy lose members, as we did with Kai(I hope he and Dee are doing well), and even our Lib cannot be on much any more(I am VERY happy that she is having a good time in her life). I sure hope it can be solved or the end is nigh just due to attrition.

    Good Morning all!

Just check'n in... The Wx is a bit boring right now. Cold followed by Cooler, interspersed with occasional Wet and then Colder. Oh! and please tell LF that my heater is back on. A/C only ran two days. With all the sub freezing temps in Jan I'm dreading my NatGas bill.

Fear not Cone, We all appreciate what you do here every day. Most are just a bit busy right now. I check in at least Juance or twice a day, though I don't always post.

Good afternoon. I'd like to be able to contribute more but have other matters taking precedence these days. I am only capable of a quick drive-by here, there, or elsewhere at this time in my life with a rare day I can do more. Juan, twenty-juan, or thirty-juan new peeps let through the front gate would be nice.

2.79" of rain fell late Sunday through the overnight. Pretty much the monthly average all at juance. The calendar flips to February tomorrow. It won't be long until us southern folks are sweating daily.

It's been so quiet K cubed, Oss, and barkeep have forgotten to use "juan/juance" in place of "one/once".

Louisiana decided they had to be 'official' and have training, insurance, have regulations, pay fees and lots of red tape. But the Cajun Navy doesn't have one leader, so basically the State couldn't find a place to start to be able to impose it all. But they did send a representative of the Cajun Navy to Washington.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, biscuits and sausage gravy, brioche French toast with butter and syrup, bagels with cream cheese and lox, cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, Potato pancakes, thick slices of honey ham, breakfast veggie burritos, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit skewers, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

I agree Ais, on the Cajun Navy!

I was very suprised at the lack of applause or suport for the actual good things that happened for , all of us , our citizens and country overal last year. Stunned frankly. I just don't get the hate exhibited from our elected officials who represent us. .
