As the last full month of winter rolls in the question remains – lots more frosty days ahead? Or, will severe season get an early start? The early bets look to be on more visits from the old man of the north.

After everyone thaws out a bit we’ll be on to severe season and the CPC thinks there will be some moistcha’ available…..

Time to watch the radar for frozen white invaders or AOD’s – pick your poison

Here in the bunker, we know where to go for any extreme weather event - To the nearest Bunker Bar

**** IMPORTANT NOTE **** The Bunker hosting runs out at the end of this month and provisions will need to be made if we are to extend our run of insanity.

Just woke up from my nap day nappy nap

I do remember the storm of the century, sent quite a squall line through here in the middle of the night.

Looks like a fun ride in to work for those Bostonians tomorrow....

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! A kind of wintery morning at 36 degrees, but no complaints, better than starting the day close to 80 and only going up.

So Boston could see 18 inches of snow. I don't know how we did it when I was growing up in the Catskills in upstate NY. We would get 12 to 18 inches fairly normally. We didn't lose electric and there was still school. Only kids close to school would go, the rest of us who lived up on a mountain just marked present. And it wasn't treated like a big deal or named. One Easter in April we had a foot of snow, I have a picture of my dog and I out in it. Gotta love the media.

Off to an early morning dentist visit for teeth cleaning. Sometimes I think that's worse than just having a small cavity filled.

Breakfast’s on the Sideboard: Ham and cheese breakfast pockets, cannoli pancakes with whipped cream and syrup, Mexican breakfast taquitos, Bagel egg in a hole with smashed avocado, fried or scrambled eggs, chicken sausage patties, stuffed hash browns with bacon, pepperjack cheese and sour cream, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit skewers, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

Hmm, but then it could change again in a week or so.

LMAO Cone. My profession has me working daily with folks east of the Mississippi (and sometimes west). The "Pahk ya cah" is spot on with some of the technicians I engage with up in that neck of the woods.

A friend of mine is from Bahstun and she can't say "park", it's always pahk. That sign was great, supposedly was real.

As for that post Aislinn, I have it on ignore

    Wow, that's impressive......

The Bohstonians have been getting blasted by the Noheasters, which has included quite a fetch from the offshore winds. I just thought it fitting for this tune.

Good Music to start the morning - Thanks Oss! Better keep Boston tuned up, they may have another dumpage of DOOM NEXT WEEK(very much less interestinger for them!)......

Good Morning everyjuan. Got a quick inch of snow last night in about 15 minutes. It was a whiteout. Very strange snows, similar to LES but balls instead of bands.
  13. InTheCone's Avatar
    Morning Blakels!

Those snowballs are never good, especially if it's a particularly cold day and they change from white to blue.

Ais' BreakFastCast - The warmup begins....

Today: Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. North winds up to 5 mph.

Tonight: Clear. Lows in the upper 30s. South winds up to 5 mph.
  14. hurricat's Avatar
*sigh* If it keeps snowing up there the snowbirds will never migrate back north.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! 37 degrees and a bit chilly this morning, a small warm up would be nice. Not ready for the real thing yet though. Unlike Florida, there are no cool breezes here to make it feel pleasant. HC, our snowbirds aren't much of a pain like yours, most of ours, in this area anyway, live in fifth wheels in small parks out of town. They go for the cheapest way to be a snowbird.

Been a busy morning already and have to run out the door in thirty minutes for first appointment.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, biscuits and sausage gravy, brioche French toast with butter and syrup, bagels with cream cheese and lox, cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, Potato pancakes, thick slices of honey ham, breakfast veggie burritos, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit skewers, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

    Ais' BreakFastCast - Springy.....

Today: Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. South winds up to 15 mph.

Tonight: Warmer. Mostly cloudy. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Good morning all. 31 here currently shooting all the way up to 35 this afternoon. But it's sunny for the next several days so I can't complain. Looks like Bahstun's got another bomb coming mid next week. Not sure on p-type yet.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! It's another 37 degree morning. But I'm loving the middle of the day when it's getting up to upper 60s and an occasional low 70s. Today sounds like a perfect day. Thanks, Cone!

Breakfast's on the sideboard: Sweet Crepes with Caramelized Pears, candied bacon, cinnamon sugar waffles, thick slices of smoked ham, crispy Golden Home Fries, cheddar biscuits and gravy, bourbon-glazed pork chops and fried eggs, Huevos Rancheros casserole, yogurt, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Enjoy!

    Howdy folks.

Sorry I haven't showed up for awhile. I'm in CA and have been entirely off the grid working at my claim. It's been cold here. Actually got a little rain this morning. I came
into town last night and got my old room to rest, clean up, resupply and have a few beers. After a couple of years working part time here doing infrastucture work and
sampling, I've finally started producing and crushing ore from my underground workings. First time that's happened here since I was a kid in the 50s and early 60s. Only
messing with the high grade stuff. Only a large operation can make low grade stuff pay. Don't know yet how I'll do, but I have hopes that it will work out and at the very
least to pay the expenses I've put into this place. We shall have to wait and see.

I hope everybody is doing okay. The only contact I've had with the outside world has been what I've heard on the radio.

Since most people suck, I kind of like it that way.
  26. Aislinn's Avatar
Hey Mark! That's awesome! I'm sure you'll figure out a way to do it! Can't wait for when you tell us you've hit the pay load!

    Morning Aislinn & Dr. Mark!

Enjoy it while you can Aislinn - Summer is coming

I wondered if you had headed out there Dr. Mark. Obviously you are hoping to make you $$ back and then some, but even if you lose a few bucks it sounds worth it just to do it. Who gets the chance to do little stuff like that these days, usually you have to have a big operation with a large amount of cash to even get started. I toast your efforts!

Better grab some breakfast before I head over to ye' olde brewpub to do some canning...

I'll have candied bacon, thick slices of smoked ham, crispy Golden Home Fries, cheddar biscuits and gravy, bourbon-glazed pork chops and fried eggs, Huevos Rancheros casserole, and coffee - TYVM Aislinn!

    Good morning Aislinn and Cone.

Yeah, I'm really only doing this for fun. I've always had an interest in geology and have had gold fever since I was a little kid. I blame it all on my mother. She could always find gold. Learned it from her father and older brothers.

It's pretty amazing that I've been able to get a lot of the old machinery working. The stuff last worked when I was a kid and it was old then. Except for the new generators and compressors it's all over a hundred years old. They don't make them like they used to that's for sure. The dry climate helps obviously.

I've taken a hot bath and I'm gonna go get a bunch of breakfast burritos for breakfast. My spouse is off for spring break next week and she's flying out here Saturday to hang out with me. She lived out here in the desert during her teenage years, but she's never been to my claim (actually it's my mothers).
