As the last full month of winter rolls in the question remains – lots more frosty days ahead? Or, will severe season get an early start? The early bets look to be on more visits from the old man of the north.

After everyone thaws out a bit we’ll be on to severe season and the CPC thinks there will be some moistcha’ available…..

Time to watch the radar for frozen white invaders or AOD’s – pick your poison

Here in the bunker, we know where to go for any extreme weather event - To the nearest Bunker Bar

**** IMPORTANT NOTE **** The Bunker hosting runs out at the end of this month and provisions will need to be made if we are to extend our run of insanity.

I use MLB to watch the games since the Cardinals are out of market I get almost all the games.

Enjoy those final days of vacay Triple K! The Philippines have an over abundance of potential natural calamities, if Juan doesn't get you another will

Speaking of calamities, there's a fire up in HCat's neck of the woods, hope it stays away from her abode.

    Hiya Cone!

You mentioned that hosting runs out at the end of the month. Do I need to send someJuan a check or are there motions behind the curtain we are not privy to?

    Evening Barkeep!

Hosting ran out at the end of last month, and has been covered until June 1st. I am hoping that something happens to move things along, but it seems that we are stuck in limbo again.

Okay cool. Thanks for the update. I (and most others) are quite relieved to see the Dewey fly-by. Perhaps some motion is occurring behind the curtain.

If we can keep it together until the Season™, I think we'll be okay for a while.

Greetings from the land of fire. The current wildfire is NE of me probably 4 miles or so as the crow flies. It is blowing north so I'm in no danger. Unfortunately there at least a dozen homes in danger so folks up there have been evacuated.

Really dry around here and after the extra long wet season there is a lot of vegetation to burn.

We'll see what the season brings, hopefully we can get some more peeps in the fold.

Triple K mentioned that there were a bunch of small quakes near where his wife is, nothing to big so far.

I saw that there were a few homes in danger up that way HCat, but they seemed to think they could keep the fire away from them. The IB didn't help, blew down a lot of stuff to add even more fuel. We've got about 8 weeks or so until rainy season kicks in, that seems like a long time as dry as it is.

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Oldie Coldie Mr. Winter doesn't want to go quietly this year according to the Goofonian Institute. These lows are for April 11th - Brrr!

Tonight: Clear. Lows in the upper 40s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! 51 degrees and quite nice outside. 50s is our normal for this time of year and it looks like the perfect day ahead. As I'll spend a good portion of the afternoon outside, that sounds great!

HCat, I hope the wind keeps it in the opposite direction. Four miles is a bit too close! We've been having some more arson problems, four buildings set on fire on one night a couple of nights ago. Town was crawling with State Arson Investigators. Didn't even know we had such a thing until I drove past a line of them.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: poached eggs with tomatoes, avocado and basil, pork breakfast burritos, breakfast nachos, sea trout with smoked bacon, spicy pepperoni and smoked bacon, cheese and egg omelet, crème Brulee French toast with maple syrup on the side, breakfast Rueben sandwich, steak and eggs, fresh fruit, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

    Morning Aislinn!

I hope they catch the arsonist soon, four buildings in one night is crazy!

    BreakFast!

I'll have poached eggs with tomatoes, avocado and basil, pork breakfast burritos, breakfast nachos, sea trout with smoked bacon, spicy pepperoni and smoked bacon, cheese and egg omelet, breakfast Rueben sandwich, steak and eggs, and coffee - TYVM and enjoy the nice weather!

Hey, Cone. Yes, luckily none were able to do too much damage before being put out. But it's scary.

Passes large platter of poached eggs with tomatoes, avocado and basil, pork breakfast burritos, breakfast nachos, sea trout with smoked bacon, spicy pepperoni and smoked bacon, cheese and egg omelet, breakfast Rueben sandwich, steak and eggs, and a pot of coffee.

Forestry says the fire is contained and they are mopping up this morning. They and the other firefighters did an excellent job protecting homes - there was no damage except for a small shed and some fence.

HCat--Tumama and I prays for you last night. I hate fire season and that was a close enough call for you! It sure its dry out there.

Well, I am not sure who trained who, but for 2 days now, a young mama coon climbed up onto my bistro table that is outside the kitchen door, and under the kitchen sink window. She waits there to peak in at me and tell me that they are out of food. These nursing mama coons are ravenous. And thirsty. Most of mine know how to drink out of the dripper that I put on the outdoor faucet.

Anyway, her mama must have taught her. And her mama is a little smarter--she comes a little further up the porch and looks into the french doors for me, while I work at the laptop on the dining room table.

This is what I see when LF starts talking about the coons coming around to get chow.....

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

No Fitness Pal's in my undies - I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Could go either way I suppose

Looks like a beeuuuteeeful spring morning in Yooperland, I hope he's heading across the pond soon....

Good morning, afternoon and evening! No Fitness Pal here either. Looks like another possible round of rain on Tuesday here? We're off to an Easter Egg Hunt this morning and then tonight the grandkids and I are planting jelly beans in a small butterfly chair planter which will grow into lollipops tomorrow morning.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: Gruyere, Greens and Cheese Emu Egg Puff casserole, Garlicy Mushroom toast cups, Blueberry Maple Bread pudding, Egg, bacon bits and Green Onion crepes, Steak tips, fried potato omelet with mushrooms, onions and peppers, sausage gravy and dumplings, extra large cinnamon rolls, cheesy shrimp grits, tea and coffee. Enjoy!

    Morning Aislinn!

Magical jelly beans that produce lollipops overnight - wow! I bet they only work on Easter, otherwise there'd be lollipops sprouting up everywhere

Speaking of eating, must be time for breakfast!

I'll have some Gruyere, Greens and Cheese Emu Egg Puff casserole, Garlicy Mushroom toast cups, Egg, bacon bits and Green Onion crepes, Steak tips, fried potato omelet with mushrooms, onions and peppers, sausage gravy and dumplings, and coffee - TYVM and yes it is looking mighty soggy on Tuesday in your neck of the woods. Incredibly dry around here, if the grass is not heavily irrigated it is all completely brown and crunchy. 40% chance of rain for today, but I'll bet we don't get any.

Hey, Cone. If I could, I'd send Tuesday rain to you. We currently don't really need it.

Passes a large platter of Gruyere, Greens and Cheese Emu Egg Puff casserole, Garlicy Mushroom toast cups, Egg, bacon bits and Green Onion crepes, Steak tips, fried potato omelet with mushrooms, onions and peppers, sausage gravy and dumplings, and a pot of coffee.

Ah ha...............my older mama raccoon is circling the porch, looking in my french doors. I don't even need to look at a clock to see what time it is.

PS It did spritz here on and off this PM while I was taking a walk. Does that count as MOISTCHA?!

Most of you know this is Bunkers first Easter. (Not "Weather Bunker"™, the K-9 Bunker) Soooo... I'm afraid this is all my fault. IF you didn't plan on it, now's the time. Y'alls better go out now and get it done tonight. Seems we're all gonna have to have an Easter basked for the pooches this year.

It all started a few days ago when I tried to explain Easter to Bunker. The bunny visits next door for some Grand kids of the neighbor, and I didn't want Bunker barking at the Bunny in the wee hours of the AM. BIIIIGGGG mistake on my part. Over the past few days he's been talking to the Kay-Nein-Corps in the hood about it. It all came to light on this evenings 6:00 walk. I noticed a bunch of barks and howls from the neighborhood dawgs, far more than customary.

When we got home I asked him about it. He gladly explained that they were putting the final touches on a negotiation for Easter. A 'negotiation', on what??? I asked. (sigh) Seems he went off and talked to the other dawgs about this Easter Bunny thing. He conveyed all the details about baskets of goodies, Sunday morning, and a magic rabit (bunny) that delivers it all. (Uh-Oh !!!)

Well he went on to gleefully assure me that safe passage of the Easter Bunny-Wabbbit was nearly assured. All of the dogs in the hood even the Labs and a few blood hounds have agreed on guaranteeing safe passage and are anxiously awaiting their own baskets of goodies and treats. Seems the only hold-outs are a 5-pack of Beagle-mix hunting dogs about a 1/4 mile east of here. They will not assure the security of anything furry within 150 yards of their pen. The only other uncertainty are the Pit-Bulls. Seems noJuan barks with (talks to) the pit-bulls since that nasty incident with the bulldozer. But Bunker assures me that the Easter Bunny probably doesn't have any business with their owners anyway.

Bottom line: The Neighborhood Dawgs have guaranteed safe passage for anything rabbit-like from midnight tonight till noon tomorrow. The Downside is, NOW we all gotta go get baskets for our dogs too!

    I need a drink...

My husband almost ran over the Easter Bunny that was hopping across the driveway this evening............

First bunnies we have had in quite a while, since the 'yotes moved into da hood.
