As the last full month of winter rolls in the question remains – lots more frosty days ahead? Or, will severe season get an early start? The early bets look to be on more visits from the old man of the north.

After everyone thaws out a bit we’ll be on to severe season and the CPC thinks there will be some moistcha’ available…..

http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/product...off01_prcp.gif

Time to watch the radar for frozen white invaders or AOD’s – pick your poison

Here in the bunker, we know where to go for any extreme weather event - To the nearest Bunker Bar

**** IMPORTANT NOTE **** The Bunker hosting runs out at the end of this month and provisions will need to be made if we are to extend our run of insanity.

Loved the stories Cos and K-cubed.

Dr Mark may be hiding from AOD's. Or, should it be A'sOD?

    Morning Aug!

That's a tough question, way to early for such deep thinking

Looks like Barkeep needs to keep an eye to the sky......

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! The rain stopped! Actually the rain stopped just before the Parade started and picked back up after the Parade ended. I came home loaded down with beads from the short walk from the end of the Parade to the VFW as I passed friends on floats still making their way down to the finish line. Ice in Texas again?

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: beignets, apple pie pancakes, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with pieces of bacon and shrimp, poached eggs with salmon, grillades and grits, Cajun fried ride with crawfish, green onion sausage, crème brulee pain perdu, andouille sausage Cajun scramble, fresh fruit, tea or coffee, flavored creamers. Enjoy!

    Morning Aislinn!

Happy to hear that you made it through the parade without getting overly soggified.

Brunch before lunch with son and DIL.....

I'll have biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with pieces of bacon and shrimp, and coffee - TYVM!

Passes a large plate of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with pieces of bacon and shrimp, and a pot of coffee.

Thanks for the heads-up Cone. I'll be watching unless I'm distracted.

    Good Sunday Morning all!

Oh, Good morning Ais! Just a brief Bunker update if you have a moment.

He's at just over 58# and full off energy. Strong as an ox, and IQ is pretty high. He just finished his mid morning patrol, and is currently curled up on top of the freshly made bed. (He's allowed there when we're not in it.)

I went out briefly to get some firewood last week, and he followed me outside. A moment later and SPLASH He jumped in the pool again. He friggin Luvz the water. Summer is going to be interesting.

He has taught the girls some 'Dog' as they are now identifying some of his different barks. Otherwise the process of spoiling him is progressing nicely.

LOVE IT! A bit cold out to be jumping in the pool! Sounds like come summer you'll be doing a lot of pool cleaning for dog hair! He's going to really love that pool!

Any dog hair that winds up in the pool filter is dog hair that didn't find it's way into the house/carpet. It's easy to clean the pool filter.

(You'd be amazed how much hair a gaggle of school girls can generate in the pool filter after just one afternoon swim party.)

McBart, it is time to but some stock in Proctor and Gamble (maker of Swiffers). Soon you will be able to create a new GSD with all the hair you collect.

Also, get yourself a horse curry. Great for getting that hair off before it hits the floors!

That's funnier than you think. I/we actually own a bit of P&G.

Already have swiffers, and a couple of great combs recommended by a neighbor groomer. Swiffers are okay for hard floors, but most is carpet around here. Soooo... Some good vacuums take care of that.

Done the doghair thing most of my younger life, and I know what to expect. (This is my third/fourth GSD.) ...but Wifey is in for a surprise.

    Evening Peeps!

Sounds like a lot of fun with Bunker, going to be a great dog and I am looking forward to hearing of his continued adventures and upcoming forecats during The Season™.

Speaking of The Season™ - it's on for Triple K, not a huge storm, but probably a ton of Sanba......

Oh Wow. I know that's WestPAc and all... bu tit brings up an interesting question.

Is it already almost time to begin to prepare for the first parts of the pre pre-season chatter?

April is the new June. ...or maybe it was March last season.

Screw it all! Time for a cocktail. Here's a very complex drink recipe, but I'm sure most can master it.

Bourbon and Ice cubes. Fill glass with ice, pour on Bourbon. Repeat as necessary.

It's always the season of DOOM somewhere....

HWRF hurricane model has #Tonga in the eye or in the right eyewall of Cyclone #Gita in 12-15 hours. Winds over 115-mph sustained quite possible w/ higher gusts.

I love my Shark Vacuum. You can have my Dyson. Although, I will say, the Dyson IS good at collecting all the dusty stuff that enters this old, leaky house. I just don't like that the powerhead isn't powerful--it is turned by the air suction, not a motor, and it is very light so you have to push down hard on it to feel like you are really getting the carpet "swept."

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! A chilly 38 degrees this morning. Going into office today, we had a company on Post donate a couple of office's furniture.

LF, I'm with you on the shark. My dysons died within a year or two, my current shark is going on four years now? Bart, I've been known to vacuum my collie and Shepherds. Works great! And a curry comb works well also.

Breakfast’s on the Sideboard: Cheesy bacon and egg hash, sausage and egg breakfast enchiladas, strawberry cheesecake French toast casserole with syrup on the side, Cheesy Tator Tot breakfast ring topped with Canadian bacon, omelets stuffed with steak tips, diced potatoes, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, fresh fruit, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has issued a warning about an influx of large, semi-aquatic rodents that have been caught reproducing within the San Joaquin Valley. Cut to “The Princess Bride.” Nutria (or Myocastor coypus) fall somewhere between a beaver and a groundhog and are much larger than a muskrat (up to five times larger, according tot CDFW).

Speaking of rats, those Nutria rats are an evil scourge that need to be eradicated from everywhere.

My, but Blakels and Yoop have not had a pleasant winter. A pic. is worth a zillion words....

    Hi Blakels!

It seems like most winters Yoop gets the wurster end of the frosty icicle, but not this year. Your area has gotten hammered, which is what I would be doing if I had to deal with it

Fortunately for me. my thoughts are mostly pure.

Yes, Sanba is a drizzling rain event. Just was downgraded to a depression from a storm.

I ended up with a nasty chest cold, so I am not going outside anyway...

But the ceaseless blowing rain makes it easy to sleep, and the cooler temps around 78 make it nice. It's not much of a blow hard, but is gets a few good gusts in.

That's all for now..But I will be here for a few more weeks and the WESPAC is already primed..

Glad to see Bunker growing up as a fine upstanding young perp!

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Sorry to hear about that cold Triple K, it seems that it's pretty hard to fly in the winter without getting sick. Airplanes are festering cesspools of disease and you get exposed to everyJuan of the little buggers while you sit and innocently imagine the wonderful destination and good times that await you when you land, if you can avoid being sickly from the not so wonderful air travel.

Anyhow, the weather in the US has quieted down for the time being and winter has ended down here with no cool air in sight. Sorry LF!

Tonight: Warmer, cloudy. Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the mid 50s. Southeast winds up to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! 41 degrees this morning, up three degrees from yesterday. I think the only really bad part is it's a damp cold which cuts down to the bone if you stay out in it. Off to a Board Meeting this morning!

Sorry to hear you're sick, K3, probably all those hours in close approximation on the recycled air of the planes. Hope you feel better soon!

Breakfast's on the sideboard: Steak and eggs, cheesy egg and sausage casserole, bagels with cream cheese and jelly, cinnamon rolls, fried eggs with thick slices of country ham, sweet potato hash, Belgium waffles with butter and syrup, ham and gruyere crepes, breakfast salad, yogurt, fresh fruit skewers, tea or coffee. Enjoy!
