April/May:April Drencheroos & May Mayhem?

Tis’ the season for – rain & possibly some pre-tropical mischief, which means more – rain. Any which way we shake it out…..

Unless, of course, we have an epic drought – which seems likely in Fl. Then there’s the ’Naders wandering about causing mayhem, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the SPC maps….

More snoh for the north? Long term trends seem to think it’s going to be a chilly April, so gawking at the national radar to see what’s going on is always a good idea……

    Morning Aislinn!

Ouch, that's not good. A little is better than nothing, but more sure would have been nice. I certainly would have bought Juan of the dinners!

May as well grab some virtual breakfast.

I'll have biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with pieces of bacon and shrimp, poached eggs with fresh pan fried bass, Cajun fried rice with crawfish, green onion sausage, andouille sausage Cajun scramble and coffee - TYVM! The pan fried bass sounds particularly appealing, haven't had that in many a moon.

I'm going to have to watch that video again, it was so interesting.

Hey, Cone. Yes, it was very disappointing but none of us complained, it could have been storming all day and no one was able to go out and fish. We just so had our hopes pinned on being able to use the money to repair the office and be fully back up and running again. The pork was so delicious. A veteran and I were constantly going over to the platter they were putting the bones onto once they finished stripping them of their meat and pulling off what was still there on the bones. Talk about sweet and tender, fully of smoke flavoring, not even needing to be chewed. Delicious!

Passes a full platter of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with pieces of bacon and shrimp, poached eggs with fresh pan fried bass, Cajun fried rice with crawfish, green onion sausage, andouille sausage Cajun scramble and a pot coffee.

    Hey to all!

Sorry I'm late. A bit of a mix-up at the bar this AM. Enjoy, even if near lunch now.

Hiya LF! OSS mentioned a get-together a few pages back. I recall that was something you were considering a year or so ago. It is often easier for just two to meet, as travel permits. (I've caught up with Ais and her peeps a couple of thymes that whey.)

I don't know about an "All-Hands" gathering but perhaps a couple of smaller gatherings. Summer is upon us and time may be a bit less restricted. Then again, we all lead pretty busy lives for a bunch of 14 yr olds.

Yummy! BunkerMary time - TY BArKeep!

No drencheroo here, just a little fizzle drizzle, but I think there is still plenty of moistcha' available for the next few days

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Quite the drencheroo for the south this morning, including Triple K's place in TN........

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! 51 degrees this morning. I'm going to miss these cool mornings very soon i'm sure. I saw there were water spouts that turned into tornadoes for Fort Walton Beach yesterday. As well as here in Louisiana and Alabama. Looks like rain for Wednesday night here. Of course. We're now driving to Florida Wednesday night for my son's wedding. In a pickup. DIL can no longer go as she got a promotion, new job, and she can't get off. So I'm thinking of packing into a plastic tub instead of a suitcase and bungying it. I hate driving at night and in the rain, and we'll be doing both. My kids all love driving at night. It's going to be a fun weekend, but I think I'm going to be peopled out when it's over.

Breakfast’s on the Sideboard: Cheesy bacon and egg hash, sausage and egg breakfast enchiladas, strawberry cheesecake French toast casserole with syrup on the side, Cheesy Tator Tot breakfast ring topped with Canadian bacon, omelets stuffed with steak tips, diced potatoes, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, fresh fruit, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

Good morning all. Supposed to reach 62 today which is our normal high for today. It will be the first time in several weeks to be near normal. Had a beautiful weekend, high 50s but sunny.

    Morning Aislinn & Blakels!

Sounds about as good as it gets up there Blakels - enjoy it, you certainly deserve it after this winter!

I was looking over the mesoscale models abd they are too bullish on a major rain event for Wednesday in that area for Weds. night Aislinn. Maybe some showery weather to start but as you go south it looks pretty good ATM. Have to keep an eye on it and see how the future runs go.

    Time for some breakfast!

I'll have Cheesy bacon and egg hash, sausage and egg breakfast enchiladas, Cheesy Tator Tot breakfast ring topped with Canadian bacon, omelets stuffed with steak tips, diced potatoes, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, and coffee - TYVM!

Hey Cone and Blakels! 62 is great sweater weather. At least the truck is big and actually has more room than any of our other vehicles for four adults and a 2 yr old in a car seat. The good news is I don't have to drive all the way myself. We'll take shifts, I'll start and then we'll be switching around.

Passes full plate of Cheesy bacon and egg hash, sausage and egg breakfast enchiladas, Cheesy Tator Tot breakfast ring topped with Canadian bacon, omelets stuffed with steak tips, diced potatoes, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, and a pot of coffee.

I'm beginning to think a college campus is the absolutely wurst place for kids these days. Love the story about the dog and that water spout turned twister was a good show. Fun to watch, but I wouldn't have wanted to be there

Nice soaking around these parts today, and supposed to be more tomorrow

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

I does love me some Uptown Funk early in the morning - much more effective than coffee. It would be nice if T would come around.

Still not seeing a ton of rain for Aislinn's drive tomorrow night, hopefully it will hold off......

    Ais' BreakFastCast - Springy....

Today: Warmer, sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s. North winds up to 5 mph shifting to the northeast after midnight.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! I'm enjoying the cool 54 degrees this morning. I really hope the rain can hold off! I've decided to go DIY, or is that out of the box thinking or just plain red neck? Anyhoo, thinking I'll just us a storage bin with the bungees to seal it instead of my suitcase. My last suitcase broke a wheel off on my last trip so I have brand spanking new luggage now. I'm not crazy about the thought of them sliding around the back of a pick up truck bed. I wish I could have talked my SIL into just renting a vehicle but even if I had paid for it, he wants to take his truck - "It'll fit all of us just fine". Never get between a man and his truck I guess.

Breakfast's on the sideboard: Steak and eggs, cheesy egg and sausage casserole, bagels with cream cheese and jelly, cinnamon rolls, fried eggs with thick slices of country ham, sweet potato hash, Belgium waffles with butter and syrup, ham and gruyere crepes, breakfast salad, yogurt, fresh fruit skewers, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

    Morning Aislinn!

Sounds like a good plan, who cares what you pack in just so it all gets there in good shape. And that it seals well just in case it does rain.

    Brunchy time!

I'll have Steak and eggs and coffee - need to get this virtual gluttony under control Have a great day!

Thunderboomers up here and hail in the southern end of the county in Hobe Sound earlier this PM.

A friend of mine was video-ing the formation of a funnel cloud way out west near Indiantown.

    Everything is sooooooo GREEN.

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Taking a peek at the projected rainfall totals through 7am tomorrow morning it looks like Aislinn and her band of merry travelers might just be able to stay ahead of the moistcha'. It looks to be pretty light even if they do get mixed up in it......

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! It is looking better, Cone! I haven't decided yet if I should use the bin or my old suitcase, I will have two sons and a son-in-law to carry it since the wheel broke. But am thinking it won't rain if I use the bin and it will rain if I use the suitcase. Murphy's Law and all... I have a ton of things to be done today before we leave, which now is about 4 pm, hopefully all these last minute things won't take as long as I fear they will. I'm looking forward to a great time once I get there.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: country ham with red-eye gravy, biscuits and grits, sausage polenta with nested eggs, egg and sweet potato scramble, pancakes with butter and syrup, strawberries and cream oatmeal, bacon wrapped donuts, bagels with cream cheese and jelly, fresh fruit, tea and coffee, flavored creamers to the side. Enjoy!

    Morning Aislinn!

Trips always seem to be that way, a pain in the patootie to get ready for, fun while you're there, and then a pain to recover from.

I think I have discovered why CRJ went west and why he's not on too often - too tired.....

No invite for moi, so I'll just have some breakfast!
