April/May:April Drencheroos & May Mayhem?

Tis’ the season for – rain & possibly some pre-tropical mischief, which means more – rain. Any which way we shake it out…..

Unless, of course, we have an epic drought – which seems likely in Fl. Then there’s the ’Naders wandering about causing mayhem, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the SPC maps….

More snoh for the north? Long term trends seem to think it’s going to be a chilly April, so gawking at the national radar to see what’s going on is always a good idea……

    Morning Blakels!

Hopefully it'll end soon so that you get some good summer in before fall hits, summers are so short up there - brrrrr!

Ais' BreakFastCAst - Incoming - just what they don't need......

Tonight: Cooler. Showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Some thunderstorms may be severe in the evening. Lows in the upper 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 15 mph shifting to the north 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! Its a cloudy 67 humid morning here. We really don't need any rain here at the moment. Besides, my car hasn't dried out yet from the last rain. However they think they know where the leak is, at least this new place thinks they know. The dealership last year even gave it a 'rain test' and it didn't leak so they said they don't know. But when it rains hard and you park on a hill so you can bail the water out at your feet with the coop cup you keep in the car just for bailing... Do they sell inside windshield wipers? Cause I need them due to inside the windshield condensation in the mornings. But they are going to try again to figure out where the leak is in my car's a/c. They're going to add freon and see how long it lasts this time... Gotta love older cars.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: Mozzarella chicken breakfast muffins, bacon, spinach, mushroom quiche, bacon and egg cups, baked eggs with asparagus and parmesan, Chorizo and potato frittata, bacon and egg puff pastry breakfast tart, breakfast pork hash, fried eggs, toast, steak tip omelets with cheese, onions and red and green peppers, fresh fruit, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

    Morning Aislinn!

I would worry about having the mold in my car as much as anything, that stuff is bad news.

    BreakFast!

I'll have Mozzarella chicken breakfast muffins, bacon, spinach, mushroom quiche, bacon and egg cups,, bacon and egg puff pastry breakfast tart, breakfast pork hash, fried eggs, toast, steak tip omelets with cheese, onions and red and green peppers, and coffee & I hope you guys get to dry out soon. We need the rain desperately down here and there's only minimal chances over the next week.

Flooding pics. coming in from up north...

My duaghter had a new vehicle (Jeep--never again) that had a mystery leak. After taking it in 3 times, we invoked the Lemon Law. Amazing that the leak was then fixed right.

    Afternoon LF!

Jeep is consistently at the low end of ratings in satisfaction and reliability, so no surprise that she had problems.

Heads up Triple K! SPC dartboard of DOOM up to moderate.....

Found past leaks in sunroof drain lines that got clogged and ran into the vehicle, and dryers for the AC under the dashboard leakin through the firewall and dashboard area, and windshield seals gone bad (especially if it was a replacement windshield).

So, I didn't have a chance to get on the blog.

i did manage to avoid posting post blog, on the old blog. So I got that going for me.

I like a cool room, but my son is a polar bear. I am freezing! Of course spending a month in the tropics, EVERYWHERE is cold! But when you nose is running from the cold, I think it may be a bit too cool.

It's a hotel with fancy hard (fake) wood floors. I need eskimo boots just to sit and type on the computer!

Anyway, it's late so, I will catch up sometime tomorrow, I have to get up early and go back and do some more servo tuning and stuff.

    Cheers!

Just did a marathon of getting dogs out before the rain hit. The last few got a little wet, but not too bad.

I, once again, have a/c. Have to go back in two weeks to have it looked at again. He found a small leak and repaired that, said everything else looked really good on it. He doesn't do body work, so have to find someone else to see about the seal on the back driver's side door. The thought is that is where the leak is. If not, windshield is next to be checked. I, too, worry about mold. But as many times as I try to have someone find it, no one appears to be able to. It's irratating to say the least. Some nice thunder going on right now, and of course more rain. Hopefully my car won't get too wet. Inside...
  11. InTheCone's Avatar
Happy to hear about the AC! If you lived down here you'd have such a dry car that you would have forgotten that it ever leaked Until rainy season starts, if it ever does.

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Thanks Ais, it's not unusual for it to be dry at this time of year, but it can be disturbing with the fires going up all the time.

Looks like the rain has cleared you and is heading for Barkeep this morning with a side of potential snoh for Blakels.....

  14. blakels's Avatar
Mostly a whole lot of really cold rain here. Changing over to a few flurries. Might get an inch or so tomorrow.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! It's partly cloudy and 49 with a feels like of 42. We had an inch of rain last night. My garden is loving all the rain, not sure anyone else is. I'm off to Alexandria to a Masonic High Noon Luncheon. They want to see handlers and dogs - service dogs we've trained and that are working. Mine, who is still in training, is staying home and I'm using my son's service dog, Demi. Luke is very good but hasn't gotten to the lessons about lying under a table yet. He's laid next to me at one because the table was too small to fit under and did excellent, but really need well behaved and experienced ones for this. Hope everyjuan has a wonderful day!

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: Bacon and Cheddar breakfast muffins, breakfast casserole with sausage, hash browns and eggs, Egg, cheese and bacon stuffed baked potatoes, turkey waffle sandwiches, pulled pork breakfast wraps, cheesy bacon tater tot breakfast bake, bagels with cream cheese and jelly or lox, fresh fruit, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

    Good morning all!

Yes Cone the rain did come through last night. Temps are down (60's -ish) this AM and dry air is blowing through. FROPA for sure. A great day to paint the upstairs bedroom. Supposed to be another passage later this week on Fri-Sat.

Ais, that's good news. Masonic contacts are always good to have. Look for familiar faces, and enjoy the lunch.

It is raining poop down here. Mama coon must have decided to clean out her tree-top nursery. Looks like we have 8 babies so far this year--3 Mamas in 3 different trees.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! Cone, if this weather could stay just like this I would be one happy person! It does look like another great day today. It's currently 41 degrees, perfect weather to get some garden work done - moving more pavers.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: baked salmon eggs benedict, sausage and egg waffle tacos, bacon wrapped sausage stuffed pork tenderloin, pineapple chunks, spiced home fries, asparagus, chicken and cheese breakfast burritos, cornbread breakfast pizza, chicken and waffles casserole, ham, broccoli and cheese braid, bacon, egg and cheese strata, tea or coffee. Enjoy!

    Morning Aislinn!

Weather's just dusty dry around these parts, although we do have a 40% chance of rain today. Won't happen, but I'm pulling out all the stops and am heading out to wash some windows as soon as I have some BreakFast!

I'll have sausage and egg waffle tacos, bacon wrapped sausage stuffed pork tenderloin, spiced home fries, cornbread breakfast pizza, chicken and waffles casserole, ham, broccoli and cheese braid, bacon, egg and cheese strata and coffee in a to go cup - TYVM and enjoy the nice weather!

Hey, Cone! Wash your car as well, always seems to work to make it rain.

Passes large take out of sausage and egg waffle tacos, bacon wrapped sausage stuffed pork tenderloin, spiced home fries, cornbread breakfast pizza, chicken and waffles casserole, ham, broccoli and cheese braid, bacon, egg and cheese strata and a large coffee to go.

Since my car is in the garage at home it doesn't seem to work as well as washing the windows, but I may get to that over the weekend anyway.
