April/May:April Drencheroos & May Mayhem?

Tis’ the season for – rain & possibly some pre-tropical mischief, which means more – rain. Any which way we shake it out…..

Unless, of course, we have an epic drought – which seems likely in Fl. Then there’s the ’Naders wandering about causing mayhem, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the SPC maps….

More snoh for the north? Long term trends seem to think it’s going to be a chilly April, so gawking at the national radar to see what’s going on is always a good idea……

    WHAT!!??

    We have an STD!

I need a shot for that.

I know just the doctor to give it to me.

Doctor Bart? I need a shot of something strong!

Hmmmmmm,,, Lemme think about that Juan. I've heard some strange calls in my day, but a "shot for an STD" is a new Juan on me. I'm sure I could find several stories about shots that lead to receiving STDs. (For that I need only to point out the spring-time college student migration to the annual beach-side Masters & Johnson convention.)

But a shot to rid Juan of an STD is a sincere challenge. I might offer a shot glass of penicillin, or a hypo of everclear, but it might be easier to blend up a shot that will simply make Juan either forget about (or stop caring about) having an STD.

Yup! That's it. To forget about your STD (or forget anything/everything else for that mater) it has to be... "Tequila shots".

    Morning Triple K & Barkeep!

Yep, tequila is definitely the choice to induce forgetfulness! I had some epic encounters with that stuff in college and have only ingested it in reasonable quantities in margaritas since

I think I might have had it a couple of times, but I don't remember for sure.

    Thank you Bart!
It's just what the doctor ordered.
Preseason has more of a chance of STDs than the Season. So this is not a normal situation.
Afterward, we have nothing to fear but fear itself and disappearing Option# 2, Cheetos, Slim jims, generator fuel and toilet paper. Not to mention Fresca, ramen noodles and deoderant.
Usually STDs develop AFTER a successful run to the cooler waters.
    Greenland should be afraid.

Evening all! It looks like everyone has survived the wrath of Alberto unscathed with the exception of a few STD’s that may or may not be tequila related. This is once again due to the stellar job the Bunker does preparing its members for monster storms like Alberto. Carry on!

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Looks like T got some action early this morning - I'm talking about T-Storms!(Peeps around here have their minds somewhere they shouldn't be)

Good morning all. We have survived the artist formerly known as Alberto. He brought a historic and unprecedented .19" of rain. Except that has already happened numerous times this month.

    Morning Blakels!

Over hyped and under performed - same old story told in so many contexts

Speaking of over hyped, we can always count on the Goofonians to keep things stirred up......

    Morning, all!

    It's wet. Too wet.

As of May 13, a friend with a rain gauge about a mile or so from here, collected 34 inches of rain.
  15. blakels's Avatar
    Yep
We have had 6.35" in May. Our normal is 3.27"

Well spread the wealth, and please send some of that moistcha my way. We are dry dry dry.

Was sincerely hoping that the STD would spread some precip this way, but Nnnooooooo. We are/were on the dry side.

Grass is getting crunchy and brittle again. If I don't get a shower soon I'll be forced to artificially moisten the lawn.

I hate it when that happens.

Rain chances are going down here starting tomorrow - back to our more normal 30-40% range. At least that's until this gets here - per the Goofy

Seems all of the prognosticators have reduced their forecast positions for this season today! It appears the anomalous cold Tropical Atlantic scared them all downward.....

Another "clear the shelves" debacle with amatures. Obviously from the picture, they cleared the wrong shelves!

On the way to Washington DC. It rained all the way through SC. It will probably rain all the way up I 95 tomorrow. I will be stuck in DC till Tuesday morning. (me no likey).
    I will report Saturday morning.
For now, a good nap. Lots of lightning tonight. It is a little unnerving to lose your night vision in a misty rain.
