April/May:April Drencheroos & May Mayhem?

Tis’ the season for – rain & possibly some pre-tropical mischief, which means more – rain. Any which way we shake it out…..

Unless, of course, we have an epic drought – which seems likely in Fl. Then there’s the ’Naders wandering about causing mayhem, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the SPC maps….

More snoh for the north? Long term trends seem to think it’s going to be a chilly April, so gawking at the national radar to see what’s going on is always a good idea……

Happy Sunday everyjuan. Where's the BMs Bart and don't take any liberties with that! Freezing rain here kind of. KMTC says it's 32, my PWS says it's 32.1 so the rain is freezing but then melting shortly after.

Tigers game got rained out yesterday so they get to play two games today in this BS. This ain't baseball.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! That storm is as fast moving as molasses in January going uphill. My facebook is full of friends begging for Spring and no more snow.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: Cheddar cheese grits casserole, Pancakes with buttered honey syrup, Praline pull apart bread, lemon blueberry Quinoa porridge, chicken fried steak with sausage gravy, fluffy biscuits, scrambled eggs muffin sliders, shrimp cheesy grits and grillades, Beignets, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Enjoy!

Not a great weather day here, either. Hot with many DOOMish storms for later, but no 'Nader watch here, but Aug is under the gun.....

    Good "Sunday-FunDay" Morning to all!

Sorry I was late with the Bunker Marys this morning. Cone, thanks for covering that. It was a bit of a late night for us, so with Bunker's blessing I went back to bed after his 'Dawn-Patrol' walkies.

Agreed! That is Juan impressive system. From the Yucatan to the Great lakes. Wow! I hope this does not foretell of things to come.

    (shhhhh) Nader season is nigh.

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Rogue asteroid They can't keep track of them all because they sometimes do really unpredictable things, like that Juan. That would have done some damage that's for sure.

This crazy spring storm may be done down here, but it's just raging up north - wow.......

Good morning. We got 1.46" of precip yesterday which is .02" shy of the 1919 record. Very soggy around here and temps still well below normal. I wish we could get some of that AGW everyone's talking about.

    Morning Blakels!

Seems to be in short supply this year, it's even going to be in the 50's here tonight, probably be the last time until next Nov/Dec. The heat and eeeewwwwwmidity machine will on full tilt very soon.

    Ais' BreakFastCAst - Deeeeeelightful.........

Today: Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. West winds up to 10 mph.

Tonight: Not as cool. Clear. Lows in the upper 40s. South winds up to 5 mph.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! It's a bit chilly this morning, 36 degrees, but sounds like it will be a beautiful day later on!

Office update: Now the town insurance is disputing the claim. It sounds like they are saying if it was from their pipe, then it would have flooded prior to this one. It did a couple of times. So now they want the dates we called the town. That would be fine if we had an office that worked and we could get to our files, etc., but everything including that information is in a great blue pod and someone's garage. We'd have to empty them to try to find the correct box where that information was put. We have a huge fundraiser next Saturday, a bass fishing tournament. Our last one was cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey. You can't just postpone and do it a different weekend as pretty much every weekend is set for a tournament. Well, you can, but then you're competing against another one. Four pigs are being slaughtered two days before to prep and start roasting. If we have to cancel due to storms....

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: Country ham with red eye gravy, pecan sticky buns, Cajun Benedict (boudin and gumbo in place of Canadian bacon and hollandaise), eggs Sardou, Banana Foster Belgium waffles, Oatmeal brulee with ginger cream, Strawberry crepes with syrup and whipped cream, fresh fruit skewers, tea and coffee. Enjoy!

It was only 40F yesterday, the day before it was 80. It rained all night and is still raining although it appears to be lightening up a bit. Ambulance sirens going off all morning, more than usual. This is a noisy place. It's like if New York City was full of semi-polite people. 24 hr horn honking and noisy domestic disputes at 3 AM out on the sidewalk where at least once a drunken woman was blabbering and stammering loudly to her companion over some emotional injury she suffered due to his actions. She kept repeating the same phrasing over and over in a heavy Jamaican (ish) accent.

I now sleep well with industrial strength ear plugs.

It will not get into the 70's again while I am here.

I remember that rogue asteroid that came in 2013. I remember the flash as I was driving near Atlanta at night when I saw a brief flash high in the atmosphere. I thought it was a crash of some kind. I checked the news afterward and saw nothing for months about it. I thought maybe I had a stroke or something. If you blinked you would have missed it. About 6 months later, I read about it. Now on that piece by OSS I read about it again.

OSS is AWESOME! But we already knew that! (OSS-SOME?)

I was supposed to be done today and going back to Ohio for another job. But the machine I am installing hasn't even been shipped yet. The customer is livid. I will have to pay for the extended stay out of my pay as it was not the customer's fault. So I am not a happy camper.

    But life goes on.
My friend in Charlotte NC called yesterday as he was under a tornado watch, but nothing hit there. We were glad.

This is a HUGE storm bringing in a lot of water from the gulf all the way up to Canada. Maybe some places need the rain, but I think it pulled an ASCAT and missed the dry places (again).
    Better luck next storm..

I'll have Country ham with red eye gravy, pecan sticky buns, Cajun Benedict (boudin and gumbo in place of Canadian bacon and hollandaise), and coffee - TYVM Aislinn and good luck with the insurance idjits. Hopefully the rainyness will hold off until Sat. night and Sunday.

Oss-some is a good new name! Between the music and the articles found, oss-some! This storm just doesn't want to quit. Mid-April and it's still winter up there. Usually by the 23rd of April it was always spring with all the dogwoods in bloom. Not sure they'll see that this year.

Passes Cone a large plate of Country ham with red-eye gravy, pecan sticky buns, Cajun Benedict with boudin and gumbo and a pot of coffee.

    Good Morning Bunkerites!

Hi CRJ! Yep, I'm already in contact with the Goofonian Institute to make sure they have the Mark IV Ghostie Generator™ tuned up and ready to emit fake destruction that will wow the masses and cause needless panic everywhere.

Dr. Mark is romping about in Death Valley.

Looks like another glorious spring day up north here in mid-April.....

Good morning all. An inch of snow, 30 degrees and untreated roads made for an exciting commute this morning.

    Morning Blakels!

    Ais' BreakFastCast - warming up.....

Today: Sunny. Highs around 80. South winds 5 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Warmer. Clear in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 60. South winds 5 to 15 mph.

Good morning, afternoon and evening, everyjuan! A quiet morning here as I'm in the midst of Spring Cleaning and so only put the dogs out and fed them so far this morning. Have to run into town and then back home to enter closet cleaning day 2. How is it that things just seem to grow in number? The nice thing about the annual closet clean is I find things I forgot I had. The bad thing about the annual closet clean is I find things I forgot. I am trying to be ruthless this year, especially since I'm no longer teaching and it's a different wardrobe with training dogs.

Breakfast’s on the sideboard: Emu fried egg topped with oysters, radishes, bell peppers and mushrooms, Cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, Apple Raisin French Toast Strata, Bacon Quiche tarts, Ham and egg croissant sandwich, poached eggs, thick slices of smoked maple ham, Apple Cider-Cinnamon Doughnut Bread, deviled eggs, fresh fruit skewers, tea or coffee. Enjoy!
