June/July: The Beginning of the End?

At least it is for me, for the blog, that will have to be determined by others. I decided during the offseason that I was burned out on being the blog host to what is an increasingly diminished membership. No offense to the wonderful folks who remain, but having two posters in a 24 hr. period is just not worth the effort or the money. If someJuan else would like to take over the duties that would be great, and I would still like to participate, but not as the proprietor. Maybe you all can come up with a solution to our woes, and I will applaud your efforts if you should like to try.

Until that time, on with the show!
Itís early Ė too early for any biggies(we hope), but we might get some more flusher type systems before the big boys start forming up.

The tropical wave train will get going in earnest and the ITCZ will begin itís northward migration.

The early season SST anomalies are providing some clues about the seasons and so far the MDR is quite chilly, but the western GOM is ready, willing, and able.

So, sit back, pop an option #2 beverage and for at least the next 6 mosÖÖ

Iíve been on a deadline on a project...thank you Dewey so much for letting us open it up. We have to figure out if we can keep weather expertise to keep it going but thatís so encouraging, I must admit to having become discouraged and Iím ready to help if I can. (I know I read back and Iím out of date but Iíll move forward.). I had a two year old and a 5 month old for 3days straight just as soon as we finished our first submission on a big project. Iíve been staring into space like a zombie since Sunday muttering things that make no sense. Not that that surprises most of you, just less sense than usual.

Pyroclastic flows are best watched from a distance. I learned that here on a Bunker educational video.

My reply was censored by the BBCL while I was just thinking about it.

I think it best I just step away from the keyboard for a minute. I'm going out for a cigarette.

Similar to watching a beauty pageant in an upscale retirement center like I did in Venice Florida. Those would be referred to Pyroplastic flows, however.

Ha ha ha! If the contestants were residents much better from a distance. That’s when nosebleed section goes for a big premium.

Good question, he usually doesn't tweet to much during the off season, so I hadn't even noticed. Hopefully he'll be back, I like his input.

Don't worry, it's just a phase that will pass, sooner or later, hopefully before your sanity. Besides, if you sat like a zombie and spewed forth mutterings of wisdom and sense, you would be an Oracle.

Oracles are no fun at all.

Anyway, the alternative is to let yourself go crazy.

It isn't something to dread like going to the dentist, it's more like going to a movie. You can come back from a movie, just enjoy it while you are there.
Real life is like going to the dentist. (no offense to Dentists: You do inflict a lot of pain, including the bill, which also cruel, making us pay for it.) It is not always enjoyable to deal with, but just like going crazy for awhile in the movies, real life is waiting to ambush you right outside.
People that are always happy are either on drugs, or are totally ignorant of what is going on or they are crazy.
So you have to grab on to the little happinesses that come your way and hold onto them like an oxygen bottle under water.
Anyone who has grandkids, has no right to complain about life unless they don't get to see them very much.
My Juan and only son won't date, find a decent woman or settle down. And he said that if he does, he will not have kids.

So whilist you mutter (or babble...babbling is more fulfilling) contemplate life from a different point of view and count yourself lucky you can still do so. After all, a life given over without a fight is not deserved. But a life won through a struggle is a prize -

For some reason, the edit and reply functions do not update the text into the text boxes. I usually fix it by totally shutting down the browser. But this time, it didn't work and it's driving me crazy! (Not a "drive" really, more like a short putt.)
So if there is something inaccurate, offensive or makes no sense at all, it is the reply gate scandal's fault!

No grandkids here for moi, either Used to be sort of ambivalent about it, but the older I get the more I think I would like them.

Looks like the Canukians have joined the Goofonians in thinking about a storm - still nothing from the Europeeans as of this morning.......

There was a quote from a movie that has stuck with me for over 50 years. the name of the movie was "A funny thing happened on the way to the forum."
Some how or other, this beautiful shapely gal got herself sold to a man while she was in love with another. So she reported herself to the man she thought was her new master. When they met at his front door, She advised him, "You may own my body, but you will never own my heart!" The goofy looking old guy (Jack Gifford I believe) Looks her up and down and says: "Well, you can't have everything!"

It was one of the last movies Buster Keaton was in.

So Mark may or may not be living right, but he is alive and able to travel to and fro across these here yew-nited States, and has some good kids. He still gets to pilot an aircraft to where HE wants to go and gets to goof off on his own terms.

I haven't ever heard him complain about anything missing in his life.

But when in doubt as to whether something is missing in your life, see the above quote and contemplate what you DO have.

    Take me for instance, PLEASE!

Yes, a slap in the face of ECF!
I don't know how much more intimidation it can take.
If the You're-a-peein' and the NAM (the Cadillac of all models) and the Canadian model (eh?) all start to agree, then the stand-in replacement for the rehabilitating Leftenant Nodar, will most assuredly be absent from his post when the fit hits the shan.
Mark may choose to ride it out or find other recreation as he sees fit.
I have yet to find fault with his decision making paradigm.
It seems there are many States that will be following the lead of Colorado. Cheech and Chong would have not had to be stuck in East LA these days.
Since the season is officially under way, I expect to see more ridicule from the GFS and toward it. At least it has evolved somewhat from the out and out liar status that it formerly held and we can all be thankful for that.
